Content.ly runs on connections, so we've made creating a connection quick and easy. You can access the "Add Connection" page through Content.ly's side navigation bar, from the dashboard, or from the "Create Connection" button found on the "All Connections" page.
Creating a connection involves two steps. First, fill out the create connection form. Second, authenticate the account so Content.ly can complete the connection.
Creating a connection
Once you've reached the "Add Connection" page, you'll need to complete a simple form that includes:
Connection name: Any title you'd like to give this connection.
Description: A brief description of the connection, if any.
Connection type: At present, Content.ly supports connections to Box, OneDrive for Business, SharePoint Online (beta), Dropbox (beta), and Google Drive (beta).
Account: This is the username associated with the account you want to connect. For example, if your Dropbox username is email@example.com, you would enter that into this field.
Depending on which connection type you selected, additional form fields may appear. These include:
Tenant level connection. Activate this option if your Box, OneDrive for Business, or Dropbox account is a tenant level account. (For example, a Dropbox admin account that manages multiple Dropbox user accounts for a single organization).
Tenancy name. This field applies to OneDrive for Business and SharePoint Online accounts. Include the tenancy name found in your sharepoint.com URL. (For example, "mytenancy" would be the tenancy name for a SharePoint URL of https://mytenancy-my.sharepoint.com.)
Next, you'll be redirected to a secure authorization screen that grants Content.ly permission to connect to the cloud service you selected. Enter your account credentials to authorize the connection.
If your account credentials are valid, congratulations - you've created a new connection.
