You can access the "Create Backup" page through Content.ly's side navigation bar, from the dashboard, or from the "Create Backup" button found on the "All Backups" page.
Creating a backup
Once you've reached the "Create Backup" page, you'll need to complete a basic form that includes:
Connection: The connection you're going to back up. If you haven't already, you'll need to create a connection before continuing further.
Quick backup: Selecting this will back up all data and versions from the selected connection once. The backup will not have a retention period assigned - think of it as a carbon copy of your connection at the time you made the backup.
Backup name: Give your backup a name. We suggest being descriptive if you're working with large quantities of backups.
Description: Provide a brief description of your backup, if any.
If you chose not to activate quick backup, you'll be prompted with additional options. These include:
Backup retention. Set a date for when your backup will be deleted, if ever.
Backup versions. Set whether the backup includes all versions or a limited number of versions.
Next, click on the "Create Connection" button. You'll be redirected to a page listing all of your backups where you can monitor the backup's progress.
