In addition to full drive restore, Content.ly offers in-place item restore for files and folders. This is helpful when a user accidentally deletes a file, a file becomes corrupted, or a user needs to restore an older version of a file or folder. Items are restored in the exact location that they were first backed up in.
You can access the "Item Restore" page through Content.ly's side navigation bar, from the dashboard, or from the "Start Restore" button found on the "Activity" page.
Note: Before you can restore a file or folder, you must have a backup.
Content.ly offers multi-criteria search to locate items to restore. These search criteria include:
Connection: Which connection you will search. (Required.)
Search query: A query for a keyword, file, extension, folder, or path. (Required.)
Date range: When an item or backup was created or modified.
Created by: The user or drive associated with the item you want to restore.
If a query returns too many results, each column of the search results data table can be sorted and filtered by keyword.
Select file(s) from the search results and click on the restore button. This will begin restoring the item(s) and take you to the restore activity screen.
Once you've found and selected your file or folder, you can also download the item.
